Oakland County Parks is hiring for seasonal jobs
For many of our staff members, their journey with Oakland County Parks (OCP) started at one of our Summer Job Fairs. Attend our upcoming job fair from 4:30-6:30 p.m. March 23 at the Waterford Oaks Activity Center and see what all the excitement is all about!
This event is a work-based learning partnership project between Oakland County Parks and Oakland Schools Technical Campus Northwest run by iTEAM students. In addition to on-site interviews for lifeguards, seasonal laborers, park attendants and recreational program leaders, the family fun night event will feature various food options and activities.
Discover how a seasonal job with OCP can help you make money, meet new people and gain experience working outdoors. During the job fair, you can meet our friendly staff, learn about OCP’s flexible scheduling, gain information about our seasonal bonus programs, get your questions answered and submit your job application.
Positions are available at several of the 14 county parks including two recreation aquatic facilities and Recreation Programs and Services, which offers programming for children and adults and operates mobile recreation opportunities like inflatable bouncers, a zipline, games, a climbing tower, an archery range and more.
All jobs are open to individuals ages 18 and older while others are available to those at least 16 years old. Training and uniforms are provided. Staff members also receive vehicle entry permits and a limited number of passes to enjoy feature attractions throughout the parks.
In 2023, seasonal employees will earn a $300 bonus for working 150 hours and an additional $200 bonus for working an additional 100 hours ($500 for 250 hours!)
