Our Story
A thriving county seat with a rich history in the region, Pontiac’s residents are proud, resilient, and hopeful about their city’s future.
Beginning in 2018, a group of nine philanthropic partners reached out to organizations within Pontiac to identify opportunities that might benefit from a more coordinated approach. These conversations led to research into Pontiac’s unique assets and needs and resulted in a pledge of support for coordinating a collective impact process.
In February 2020, a group of 31 Pontiac community stakeholders convened to begin creating the Pontiac Collective Impact Partnership. The goals of this partnership are to foster more collaboration, build a shared community agenda, create more trust, develop greater equity, and leverage Pontiac’s collective strengths and resources.
Led by community voices, this is Pontiac’s journey to identify ways to come together around common goals that are informed by shared data to solve complex community challenges.
