PCIP Co-sponsors Pontiac’s Legends and Trailblazers’ Awards Program

Pontiac’s Black legends and trailblazers are often the same folks showing up at public meetings, feeding the homeless or urging students to do better at their school and sports work.

That’s one reason Kaino Phillips, founder and CEO of The Clarence E. Phillips Ascend Foundation, and H. Bill Maxey, ACES Veteran Services coordinator, started an awards ceremony three years ago.

This year’s awards are cosponsored by ACES and Pontiac Collective Impact Partnership.
