PCIP’s Strategic Plan for 2023-2027
New goals and priorities will help guide the organization’s actions for the next few years
Since its founding in 2021, the Pontiac Collective Impact Partnership has focused on developing deep relationships with the myriad community organizations, non-profits, government, and civic groups in the region. We have spent a lot of time listening to the needs of the community, studying its strengths and weaknesses, and learning from the many organizations that have made Pontiac’s revitalization central to their missions.
All of this has helped shape our Strategic Plan, which will guide us for the next few years. We’re excited to share our organizational priorities, which highlight our unique role as a convener within the community.
Priority 1: Civic Network Development
We’ll align our resources and personnel to support greater emphasis on systems transformation to eliminate structural racism and advance equitable outcomes for the community. Functionally, we’ll become a member of the national StriveTogether network, develop methods of accountability to ensure fruitful collaborations, and facilitate complex meetings and interactions amongst key community organizations.
Priority 2: Funding Model Development
We want to ensure that PCIP is sustainable for the long-term and seek to cultivate a balanced portfolio of revenue streams and diversify our funding model to include both public and private financial support.
Priority 3: Data Infrastructure Development
One of our key differentiators is our evidence-based approach to program development, implementation, and measurement. We plan to grow our data infrastructure to support online data dashboards and facilitate data-driven strategies for improving community-level outcomes.
Priority 4: Cradle-to-Career Success
Investing in our community’s youth is essential to enhancing our economic mobility. We’ll continue to work with others in the community to develop strategies that impact post-secondary education enrollment, career readiness, and goal attainment for Pontiac’s youth.
Priority 5: Advancing Thriving Neighborhoods
Our residents deserve to live in a beautiful and safe community that provides needed infrastructure for them to thrive. Through our collaborations with government and community organizations, we’ll support the development and implementation of strategies that impact safety in public spaces and ensure the vibrancy of Pontiac shines.
