Oakland County Parks and Recreation is hiring Recreation Program Leaders to lead staff and volunteers at our summer programs and events throughout Oakland County.

Help bring the fun and games to communities across Oakland County!

The priceless benefits of Recreation Program Leader positions include working outside, supporting community events and meeting new friends while building your resume!

  • Applicants must:
    1. Have at least 480 hours of leadership experience:
      1. Supervising, instructing, coordinating, coaching, caregiving, team leading, and/or organizing programs, activities, teams, or groups of adults and/or children; OR
      2. Involvement in a leadership capacity with organizations such as civic, philanthropic, school clubs, sports teams, or volunteerism.
    2. Possess a valid United States motor vehicle operator’s or chauffeur’s license.
  • These positions pay $16.12/hr and 2023 seasonal employees can earn up to $500 in bonus pay! ($300 for 150 hours and an additional $200 an additional 100 hours)
  • OCPR gives all employees a FREE Annual Vehicle Permit and 12 permits to enjoy various park facilities (think waterpark visits, rounds of golf, campsite fees or a day at the ORV park)
